Apostleship of the Sea: Website, CMS and Extranet

The Apostleship of the Sea, an office of The Vatican, offers pastoral care to all "People of the Sea" regardless of race, culture, nationality or religion.

Ichameleon was approached to design and create a fully managed website that would help The Apostleship minister to the seafaring population. Additionally we created an extranet to facilitate better communication between the AOS chaplains, pastoral workers and volunteers around the world.

Highlights of the solution include:

• Outstanding visual design
• Optimised to work on Immarstat (low bandwidth connection)
• Treeline content management
• Interactive World map, fully updatable through CMS

This site is a good example of how Treeline, Ichameleon's own Content Management System, can be tailored to meet the unique requirements of the client.

Because Treeline is modular we are able to incorporate third party software or develop unique functions like the AOS interactive map. This flexibility is missing in off-the-shelf CMS packages.
