ActionAid UK: Content Management Stystem

Ichameleon's pro-active approach has been instrumental in helping ActionAid achieve success on the web. The increase in traffic that we have seen as a result of their strategies has secured many new supporters to help in our fight to eradicate poverty and injustice

ActionAid UK are long-standing clients of Ichameleon and in 2004 we started the first phase of development on their ongoing Systems Integration Project (SIPS)

The first phase was to develop an exceptional platform that operated as a Content Management System for their public website. Key requirements for the system were:

Must be simple to use, so non-technical contributors throughout the world can help to keep the site fresh and relevant.
Must be modular in form, so that additional functions and new requirements can be "bolted on" at any time.
Must function in a way that conforms with ActionAid's working practices, to make the change to using the system completely painless.

Ichameleon's solution exceeded all these requirements and ensured a sound foundation for the ongoing development of the site. Since launch these have included the online donations centre and the online advocacy and campaigning tool we developed in late 2004.

Continuing in partnership with ActionAid, Ichameleon will continue to enhance the system with more fundraising and campaigning tools.
