Matchless Home Brew -

Matchless in 1984 & still Matchless today!

In May 1984 I placed my large wooden barrel in the centre of my new window display and it's still there today - probably the only thing in the shop (except me of course!) that hasn't changed significantly.
Since that day in May, Matchless Home Brew has continually changed and adapted to bring to the customer the very best in home brew products. My customers range from the long standing practitioners of brewing and wine making who know from experience exactly what they need, to the innovative, demanding pioneers who want the very latest in ingredients and technology.

To supply these very different needs I carry a wide range of stock and can obtain almost anything not in stock at very short notice. My stocklist is too extensive and updated too frequently for it to be sensible to put on this website. Instead I will give you some idea of the range available and my e-mail address / phone number so please contact me to get exactly what you want.

joan meyes - matchless homebrewing coOf course it's not just about products. As someone who has made and brewed ales for many years I have a wide ranging knowledge of the products which I sell. I am always happy to help beginners with advice, swap experiences with customers and generally help in any way I can.

Someone else who will also help in any way she can, based on her own extensive experience is Joan Mayes. Joan has been associated with the shop since it's beginning and manages the shop when I am on holiday (or off on one of my weekend motorcycling trips!).

Here's a taster from my wide ranging stocklist:
