Freelance developers
Are you a confident and capable web developer who is looking to really put your skills to good use?
Ichameleon are always interested in hearing from skilled, experienced and trustworthy freelance developers, who can become part of our team whilst working remotely (or in our lovely offices in Cheadle).
Working exclusively with leading charities, government departments and national broadcasters, you will find working with Ichameleon is interesting, challenging and rewarding.
Ideally the successful candidate will possess at least 2 - 3 year's agency experience developing with PHP and common web technologies. However, we are more interested in a candidate's skill level then accumulated experience.
Essential Requirements:
- Fluent in PHP and familiar with other server-side scripting languages such as ASP.
- Database design experience using MySQL or SQL Server is essential. Applicants will be familiar with web development using CSS, JavaScript, HTML, and XHTML.
- Knowledge of other web-based technologies such as XML and web service interfaces, and familiarity with accessibility guidelines and W3C coding standards would be a plus but is not essential.
- Applicants should exhibit competency in imaging software such as Adobe Photoshop.
- Applicants will pay attention to detail in design, code and implementation.
The right candidates will be trusted to work remotely, although we would expect regular meetings at our offices. If you prefer, you can work entirely within our offices, which are an exceptional working environment, set in beautiful parkland in Cheadle, Cheshire.
Ichameleon was founded because we have a love of web development, and an ethical inclination towards the charity sector. We’re looking for somebody like-minded. So even if you can’t show us a year of commercial PHP experience we will still consider you if you have a natural flair, plenty of enthusiasm, and examples of good quality work.
